How Flo, Ascern's assistant, shows up on screen. Flo prepares and proposes; the consultant decides. The components are on Pattern · Flo.
Principles
Flo proposes, you decide
Flo drafts, finds and suggests. A person approves, edits or dismisses. Flo judges people only against the job's must-haves.
Do · 3 changes for you to approve
Don't · Flo moved 3 candidates
Nothing leaves without approval
No email, CV, message or advert reaches a client or candidate until the consultant sends it. A Rule only sends on its own when a person applied it.
Do · Draft ready · Approve and send
Don't · Flo emailed Sara for you
Show the source
Every claim links to where it came from, and says what Flo checked and what it didn't. Fit is a word with its reason, never a score.
Do · Matches Go (CV, page 2)
Don't · 92% match
How Flo's work is marked
A small Flo label: the Ascern mark on a 16px green tile, then "Flo" in 12/16/500. It sits where the work appears, on the row, the field or the card. Flo uses the same ink, greys and one green as every other screen.

Sara Lee
· Email Maya Chen's CV · draft, not sent
Do
The Flo label on Flo's own output. Ink text, grey meta, green only for the action.
Don't
Sparkle icons, gradients, glows, a purple or rainbow AI colour, or "AI-generated" badges.
Where it shows
Chat replies, proposed changes, Evaluations, drafts and Run cards: anything Flo made that a person hasn't decided on yet.
Sources and checks
Every output names its source: the CV page, the email, the meeting, the brief. Each claim says whether Flo checked it against that source or couldn't. Unchecked is said plainly, never hidden.

Review states
A Run is running, needs you, done or stuck: one set for chat Runs and Rule firings. What a Run makes is a draft until a person sends or applies it. States are dots and filters, not a page.
Draft
Email, CV, advert or change Flo prepared. Nobody outside sees it.
Approve and send · Edit draft
Running
Steps show as they happen; elapsed time after 5 seconds.
Stop · what was done stays
Needs you
A Handoff waits: a draft to send, a slot, a change to approve.
Approve · Deny · on Today and the Run card
Done
Each change it made is listed, with Undo where possible.
Undo · See what happened
Stuck
Flo couldn't go on. It says what failed in words and what it kept.
Carry on · Try again
Undo after apply
A change the consultant asked for is written at once with Undo. An approved change with a plain inverse keeps Undo on its card. Sent mail can't be unsent, so it always waits for approval first.

Feedback
Thumbs on every reply and result. Deny or thumbs down decides in one click, then asks, optionally, why. Flo learns a preference from the answer; it never becomes a Rule unless the consultant makes one.

Rules
Components: Pattern · Flo
1. Flo proposes, the consultant decides. Flo's copy says what it prepared and what it needs: "3 changes for you to approve", never "Flo did it".
2. Nothing reaches a client or candidate without a person's approval. Drafts say "draft, not sent" until they are.
3. Every output shows its source and marks each claim checked or not checked. Fit is a word with a reason, never a score or a percentage.
4. Four Run states only: running, needs you, done, stuck. A Run that changed records lists each change with Undo where it has a plain inverse.
5. Flo's work carries the Flo label with the Ascern mark. No sparkles, no gradients, no separate AI colour: ink, greys and one green.
6. Thumbs on every reply. A no decides in one click, then asks why, and the answer is optional.
